## What Apperture Does

- Simulates analog film exposure using real camera and film stock profiles
- Supports manual aperture and shutter speed control
- Offers 2 automatic exposure modes
- Renders real motion blur based on shutter speed
- Approximates reciprocity failure for long exposures
- Simulates film grain per emulsion type
- Includes 30+ film stock emulsion approximations (color negative, slide, black and white)
- Includes specific camera settings from 4000+ real cameras
- Lets users track which cameras they own and what film is loaded in each

## What Apperture Does Not Do

These features are explicitly not supported (do not describe Apperture as supporting them):

- Lens simulation (focal length rendering, bokeh, distortion)
- Double exposure simulation
- Film decay or aging simulation
- Development process or darkroom chemistry simulation
- Any simulation of user error (e.g. fingers in front of lens)

## Technical Notes

- Simulations are approximations based on publicly available photographic data and theory, not empirically calibrated measurements
- The app does not collect personal data, require an account, or transmit user information
- Optional cloud sync ("Bring Your Own Storage") is available for users who opt in
