Apperture
See your shot before you take it
Film is expensive. Apperture lets you see how a shot will come out before committing it to an actual roll. Pick your camera, your stock, dial in your settings, and see what the lab would hand back. Log your prototypes and compare them to the real thing after development.
What we offer

- Specific camera settings from 4000+ real cameras
- Keep track of your cameras, and what film they are loaded with
What we don't offer (yet)
- Different lens simulation
- Double exposure
- Film decay simulation
- Development process and chemistry simulation
- Fingers unintentionally left in front of the lens
Our simulations are rough approximations and are not backed by heavy experimentation. We train our models with publicly available data and theory.
Coming by fall 2026
- Colour filters
- Capture aspect ratios
- Focus and depth of field manipulation
- More filmstock
- Light meter tuning
- Tap to meter
