Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 23, 2026
At Apperture, we believe your photography is your business. This privacy policy explains our approach to data: we don't want it, we don't see it, and we don't store it.
1. Information Collection and Use
No Personal Data: Apperture does not require an account, email address, or any personal identification to function. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information to our servers.
No Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs. Your usage habits remain private on your device.
2. Device Permissions
To provide its core functionality, Apperture requests the following permissions:
- Camera: Required to provide real-time analog film previews and to capture photos. Image data is processed locally on your device's CPU/GPU and is never transmitted to us.
- Photo Library: Required only if you choose to save your captures to your device or import existing photos for processing.
3. Third-Party Cloud Sync
Apperture provides an optional feature to sync your work with third-party cloud providers (e.g., iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox).
- User Control: This sync is entirely "Bring Your Own Storage" (BYOS).
- Data Handling: When you enable sync, your data is transmitted directly between your device and your chosen provider. Apperture does not sit in the middle of this transaction, and we never have access to your cloud credentials or stored files. Please refer to your chosen provider's privacy policy for their data handling practices.
4. In-App Purchases
Apperture offers a one-time "Pro" unlock. Transactions are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your credit card or billing information.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
